A frontier pop-up village for AI & Web3 builders.

Two weeks of co-living, co-building, and exploration at the edge of agentic AI and decentralised systems.

About

The Oz City was a two-week frontier pop-up village for AI & Web3 builders.

We brought together high-level founders from around the world for a unique co-living and co-building experience. Together we explored, prototyped, and launched AI agents and models pushing the boundaries of the decentralised AI landscape.

Patagonia 2025

San Martín de los Andes.

Nov 1–16, 2025

Part of the pop-up villages movement.

In San Martín, communities of outstanding builders and innovators came together to co-create. Several pop-up villages ran in parallel — Edge City, Agartha House, Plumia Residency, and others — turning the region into a living lab for the next wave of AI & Web3 before Devconnect.

It was about being on the frontier of nature, creativity, and community — and co-creating the future in one of the world's most inspiring places.

Cannes 2025

Where it began.

Valbonne, 2025

50+ builders. 20+ countries. One pop-up city.

From Oxford PhDs to solo hackers, we shared meals, jammed on agents, prototyped new coordination tools, and co-built a city from scratch.

Five projects that started at the Oz City hackathon continued their journey through the NEAR Rewards Program.

Q&A
01

Who participated?

Builders, hackers, developers, founders, and researchers from around the world. Most participants were already familiar with either AI or Web3 — the residency was a space to experiment, learn, and build alongside peers.

02

Why "Oz"?

The name «Oz» is inspired by the tale of the Land of Oz — a reminder that the strength and power the characters were searching for externally had always been within them. Oz City represents the belief that within every individual lies endless potential.

03

What happened at Oz City?

A 24/7 co-working space, educational talks, workshops, mentorship hours, pitch roasts, and a hackathon. Demo days with VCs and investors. A half-day Agent Day conference. Plus community life — shared dinners, sports, morning yoga, meditation, and breathwork.

04

Why Patagonia?

Before Devconnect, there was no better place to gather than San Martín de los Andes. Alongside Edge City and other residencies, we created a living lab where builders, thinkers, and dreamers came together to co-create the future.

05

Who organised it?

Epic Web3 — a team with 8+ years of experience organising conferences and building communities. We've hosted 30+ events, hackathons, and Agent Days for Web3 and AI developers across New York, Denver, Istanbul, Paris, Seoul, Lisbon, and London.

The next chapter is brewing.

Cannes 2025 and Patagonia 2025 are behind us. We're taking time to reflect, regroup, and design what comes next.

Stay tuned.
